Hollywood Regency Week : Dorothy Draper Dresser

Dear blogfriends,

I hope you are as exited as I am for this Hollywood Regency Week!

One of my favorite element of Hollywood Regency Style is the campainer dresser, especially the Dorothy Draper's España Bunching Chest. People say that Dorothy Draper Dorothy Draper "was to decorating what Chanel was to fashion" and that "she took a world that was drab and dreary and made it colorful." If you want to know more about this styleicon, check Apartment Therapy's post here.

Why do I love them so much?

1. First reason : they can glam up any kind of interior

Do you remember this nursery? DOPE.

Even Carrie likes them!

2. Second reason : it is easy to DIY!

Bored of the random Ikea dresser you bought some years ago? You can Dorothy Draperize them!
Believe it or not, those are all DIY!

Would you be ready to try one of these DIY?

Pantone Color of the Year 2013

A few days ago, Pantone elected Monaco blue as Color for Fashion for 2013.
But yesterday, Pantone revealed THE Color of the Year 2013!

And the winner is...

Emerald Green

This color was in my predictions short list. I like it as an accent color, combined with (Monaco?) blue.

I am sure Dorothy Draper's fan will also be pleased since it is included in her palette, with lots of pink shades.

How do you feel about that choice?
