Iris Grace Paintings

Hello,

Aren't those paintings just amazing?
And could you believe that this is the work of a - very talented and sensitive - four years old girl?
Iris, the young painter, is Autistic.  She can’t speak and has great trouble with interacting with others but expresses herself through movement and art.

She obviously understand light and colours very well.
I love the palette she chooses.

This one below is my favorite.

You can see all her work on her website.

Dream to Sale : East River, Manhattan, NYC

Dear blogfriends,

Yes, some people do live in this kind of dream apartment!

I tend to think that life must be slightly easier for them. And life should definitly be more interesting when you are surrounded by beautifull art and design.

Anyway, inspiration is free, so enjoy!

I like the fact that there iare toys everywhere in the house. I like to imagine what it is like, everyday, with three boys running around. Certainly not always that tidy!

And in fact, the apartment is pretty children friendly actually. (Excepted some vases that are maybe there just for prop purpose).

Enjoy the tour. All pics come from The Socialite Family.

I especially love the art (mostly photography) in all these interiors.

Navy velvet + tripode tables = bliss

House Tour : Very Nice Simple Apartment

Hello,

Today's post will show you you don't have to spend lots of money to create a beautiful personal space : some Ikea's classic storage (expedit, billy), vintage finds, beautiful arts, nice textile patterns (do you recognize Orla Kiely's?)...

Where do you find craspedias? I never find any!

I just can't believe Pamela (the renter) has been there for just FOUR months! Well done!

You can see the entire tour on Apartment Therapy here.

Working on a Gallery Wall

I love gallery walls. It personalizes your interior and make big statement.

Be it personnal pictures...

Art...

A mix of picture and art.

This one is fabulous. It's a really nice collection of art. But, with different types of frames, colors and styles, it is very difficult to get it as perfect as this one below.

I like the idea to lay down the pictures on a console. So you can adjust until you are satisfied without damaging you walls.

I'd like to have this in my dinning room.

For the moment, I am working on two galleries : one in the powder room and one in Anouk's nursery.

And you? Do you have gallery walls? where? What do you prefer pictures or art?
