Inaluxe : Abstract Prints With Vintage Vibes

Dear blogfriends,

I am rather in a monochrome mood for the moment (or a softer color palette), but I need to pin these prints for the future.

Living Room Update : Sorbet Hues and Gallery Wall

Dear blogfriends!

I am emerging from my inspiration coma? I don't know, but yesterday, I had a day off and I finally overcame my paralysis and dared to make some holes in my wall!

Do you remember how was the styling before?
Cute. I really liked it and this pic has even got some success on Pinterest.
But I was sick of it!

So, a few week ago, inspired by Orlando Soria's styling, I tried this :

It was ok (except those wire!!!)

But then, a few days later, we got our new table...
And, gosh, it is WHITE!

For some days (weeks), I HATED it!

It was super drab and those chairs (that I do like) are really not working with it.
(Just a few more weeks to get the new chairs, hopefully!)

So Yesterday, I collected arts and pics.

It needed some "peps", so I grabbed a brush and some paint...

1. This is the first look :

I think it's nice but the neon pink art is hung to high.

2. Second look :

3. Third look :

Which one do you prefer? (The art above the piano is supposed to be changed, of course).

(The cushions are from Hema).

By the way, I have to present you new comers...

This vintage Vener Panton lamp (from ebay, but the tension needs to be fixed) :

And this knitted pouf from Hema!

The Socialite Family

Hi,

So last week, we have been dying for awesome californian interiors. Now, let's go to Paris to meet the coolest, smartest and awesomest parisian families, living in the awesomest Hausmanian apartments...

I especially love the art (mostly photography) in all these interiors.

Navy velvet + tripode tables = bliss

Awesomest photographs

I want this cutie for my baby.

Amazing Interior Photographer : Bethany Nauert

Hello!

Caution : This post is full of über cool exiting Californian interiors, photographed by a über talented photographer. You may fall into home depression after reading it.

I. Am. Home. Depressed.
I want to trough everything that's in my house and call this people to run my life and decorate my house with exiting and unique vintage pieces and bold colors.

I discovered Bethany Nauert on Emily Henderson's blog, but she is a contributor of Apartment Therapy and she shot most of my favorite interiors featured on Apartment Therapy.

She photographed the loft designed by Natalie Younger I featured last week.

Besides, she works for Rue Mag... (which is the nirvana for home decor)

You've been warned...

Styled by Emily Henderson. It is so pretty I want to cry.

Again, styled by Emily Henderson.

Really, my bedroom looks like CRAP. I hate myself.

Casual and bold. Very pretty. Designed by Irene Lovett.

I'm just loving this color mix. Again, designed by Irene Lovett.

Again this beautiful color combo. Here designed by Erinn V. Design Group.

Awesome fiddle leaf fig tree in an awesome planter.

My fiddle leaf fig tree is dead. My life sucks.

All pics from Bethany Nauert.

OK. I stop. This was just a selection. But if you really want to feel pain, check her website.. There are 248 painfully beautiful photographs on Bethany Nauert website.

New Rattan Chair For Anouk's Bedroom : Which Color?

Dear blogfriends,

Circle rattan chairs are very popular for the moment. They are vintage, cool, bohemian, hippie chic... They taste like Palm Beach's spirit...

Lovely right?

I found this one on ebay for a steal (5 euros)... for Anouk's bedroom.
The shape is great.

I was planning to paint it but I'm not sure about the color. I was thinking a charcoal grey or a hot pink... maybe a turquoise...

Also, I received it yesterday and I noticed that the chair is covered by different layer of lack, so I'm have to strip it anyway.

Maybe if the rattan is in good condition, I could leave it as it and maybe just paint the legs in a hot pink?

What do you think?

Geometric Chandelier for the Dinning Room

 Hello!

Everyone knows Sex and the City and Gossip Girl are a huge source of inspiration for clothes and fashion. But you remember Carry saying in S&C I "she left clothes for furniture"? It's totally true! Decor are at least as important as fashion in S&C movies.

Remember this dinning room? Amazing!

I especially like the ceiling lamp. I think it makes the room (also the outstanting backsplach tiles).

In Gossip Girl I L.O.V.E. the Bass-Van der Woodsen penthouse. I spoke about Serena's bedroom here, but the living room is quite amazing too. Both were designed by Christina Tonkin.

I am very much inspired by the suspension above Lily's desk (I need to find the reference).

I think suspensions are a very good way to create a chic and unique space. I've been looking on ebay for a geometric vintage chandelier and I found the same as  Gino Sarfatti's lightolier.

This suspension is identified authentic and was sold 500$. (I bought mine 116 euros, so I think I was a good deal).

At first, I was thinking for the sleeping room, like in the pic below.

Then I though it could look good in the entry way :

But right now, I am pretty sure I want it for the dinning room. What do you think?

The suspension above and two last suspensions bellow are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G . The price is on demand (!) on Delighfull.eu.

The store has an interesting blog on lightings.
