Neon Light!

Hello!

I hope you're having a nice WE!

I usually don't like typography in decor. However, I love the neon light trend.

Side Lamps Selection

Dear blogfriends,

Lamps are definitely what I prefer in design, besides art and chairs.

I've been thinking a lot about the lightings in our living room. I found lately this cute vintage lamp that was meant for the desk, but is actually on the piano.

So we still need a desk lamp and also a side lamp.

I've been looking on craigslist for a while. I wanted a mushroom lamp.
I was on this cutie on ebay, but a (very mean) person bid 4 sec before the end.
Since then, I haven't seen any that i liked.

So I looked for contemporary ones :
Like this replica of Verner Panton's flowerpot lamp :
Or this cutie...

I also like the iconic Scandinavian Milk Lamp :

I've been also tempted by other models (not mushroom models) like the Block lamp:

Or the iconic Bourgie lamp by Kartell. I think the chrome one would work better at home :

I don't know which one I prefer. Most of them are quite a budget, which makes the choice even more difficult. which one do you prefer?

For the desk, however, I found this very cute and budget friendly lamp (19,99 euros) at Ikea. what do you think?

Patrick Townsend Orbit Chandelier

Hello!

I guess I have a thing for light fixtures...
After mushroom lamps, the Tom Dixon's copper pendant, the sputnik light, the geometric chandeliers and the vintage spray painted chandeliers, my new crush is the Patrick Townsend Orbit Chandelier, that I first spotted in Victoria Smith's house (the girl behing Sfg by Bay) :

Pretty right?

I like it because it's modern, feminine, light and casual at the same time.
Pretty much my style!

I think it would be nice above the dinning table, then I could use the vintage geometric chandelier in our bedroom (because, I think I prefer that option eventually).

But price tag? 600$!

Still very lovable though...

Easy DIY : Spray Painted Chandelier

Hello!

There's a new trend : spray painted chandeliers!

If the style of your house allowes it, I think it's a nice way to recycle aged furniture.

For a modern touch, use globe bulbs!

You can use a fun color like yellow :

But I think I prefer black :

Geometric Chandelier for the Dinning Room

 Hello!

Everyone knows Sex and the City and Gossip Girl are a huge source of inspiration for clothes and fashion. But you remember Carry saying in S&C I "she left clothes for furniture"? It's totally true! Decor are at least as important as fashion in S&C movies.

Remember this dinning room? Amazing!

I especially like the ceiling lamp. I think it makes the room (also the outstanting backsplach tiles).

In Gossip Girl I L.O.V.E. the Bass-Van der Woodsen penthouse. I spoke about Serena's bedroom here, but the living room is quite amazing too. Both were designed by Christina Tonkin.

I am very much inspired by the suspension above Lily's desk (I need to find the reference).

I think suspensions are a very good way to create a chic and unique space. I've been looking on ebay for a geometric vintage chandelier and I found the same as  Gino Sarfatti's lightolier.

This suspension is identified authentic and was sold 500$. (I bought mine 116 euros, so I think I was a good deal).

At first, I was thinking for the sleeping room, like in the pic below.

Then I though it could look good in the entry way :

But right now, I am pretty sure I want it for the dinning room. What do you think?

The suspension above and two last suspensions bellow are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G . The price is on demand (!) on Delighfull.eu.

The store has an interesting blog on lightings.
